Backend Developer - Python / Node.js

Job description2+ years of hands-on backend development experience. Strong proficiency in Python and working experience with Node.js . Experience with at least one framework : FastAPI, Django, or Express.js . Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL / MongoDB / Redis). Prior experience working with AI / ML systems, model integrations, or data pipelines . Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in fast-paced startup environments. Bonus : Exposure to LLM APIs, embeddings, vector stores, or AI infrastructure (LangChain, Pinecone, etc.) . Work on cutting-edge AI systems used by top companies in India and abroad. At Dassh AI , were redefining how companies hire using AI to evaluate people beyond their resumes. Our suite of AI-led products, from Stella (AI Recruiter) to behavioural evaluation systems, powers smarter, faster, and more human hiring experiences.
Were looking for a smart, hands-on Backend Developer with strong fundamentals in Python and working knowledge of Node.js , whos comfortable building and scaling AI-powered Youll Do :
- Work directly with the founding team to enhance and scale Dassh.AIs backend systems across multiple AI-led products.
- Design and develop APIs and data pipelines integrating LLMs (Gemini, GPT, etc.) , vector databases, and AI orchestration layers.
- Optimize server-side performance and ensure secure, scalable architectures for live hiring workflows.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and AI teams to integrate conversational AI models into production.
- Maintain and improve microservices using FastAPI / Django (Python) and Node.js (Express) frameworks.
