About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of food to the highest standards.
Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Preparing all basic food items for the menu requested by your supervisor.
- Maintaining advanced knife handling skills.
- Working efficiently and productively in any section of the kitchen.
- Having a good food knowledge and understanding of culinary terms.
- Reading, understanding, following, and preparing company recipes.
- Effecting completing tasks promptly.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have :
A minimum of 4 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service.At least 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef Assistant (shipboard experience preferred).A culinary school degree is required.Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and people skills.Superior customer service, team building, and conflict resolution skills.Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services.Intermediate computer software skills and ability to write reports and business correspondence.Benefits
