Role Description The Solar Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ernakulam. This role involves engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their energy requirements, designing appropriate solar solutions, and preparing technical and commercial proposals. The Solar Sales Engineer will conduct site assessments, coordinate with the technical team for system sizing and configuration, and provide pre- and post-sales technical support. Daily responsibilities include delivering product presentations, responding to customer inquiries, following up on leads, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth project handover to the implementation team. The role also includes maintaining accurate records in the sales CRM, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to design solutions, interpret technical specifications, and assist customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to explain complex concepts clearly, build trust, and manage customer expectations professionally.
• Candidates should possess solid Sales skills to identify opportunities, convert leads, negotiate agreements, and consistently meet or exceed sales objectives.
• Relevant educational background such as a degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering field is beneficial.
• Experience in solar energy, power solutions, or related industries, along with familiarity with PV system design tools and basic electrical design principles, is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site, conduct field visits, interpret site conditions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic data analysis to prepare proposals, reports, and presentations.
