Job Title: Football Coach Location: Sancta Maria International School, Faridabad Position Type: Full-time Job Purpose We believe that sport is a powerful vehicle for character development, teamwork, resilience, and leadership. Sancta Maria International School seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Football Coach to lead and develop our football programme across different age groups. The Football Coach will foster a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and holistic development while nurturing students' technical abilities, physical fitness, confidence, and love for the game. Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate football coaching sessions for students across different grade levels. - Develop students' technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game. - Identify, nurture, and mentor talented players while ensuring opportunities for all students to participate and grow. - Prepare school teams for inter-school, district, state, national, and international competitions. - Organise training schedules, fixtures, tournaments, and football-related events throughout the academic year. - Foster teamwork, discipline, resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship in all student-athletes. - Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. - Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during all training sessions, matches, and sporting events. - Maintain sports equipment, playing fields, and training resources in excellent condition. - Collaborate with school leadership, PE staff, and parents to support student development and participation. - Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a positive, inclusive sporting environment. - Contribute to the wider co-curricular and sporting life of the school. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. - AFC, AIFF, FIFA, or equivalent recognised football coaching certification preferred. - Minimum 3–5 years of coaching experience, preferably within an IB, Cambridge, or international school environment. - Experience coaching students across multiple age groups and preparing teams for competitive tournaments. - First Aid and CPR certification will be an added advantage. Essential Skills & Attributes - Strong technical and tactical knowledge of football. - Excellent communication, mentoring, and motivational skills. - Ability to inspire confidence, teamwork, discipline, and resilience in young athletes. - Strong organisational and event management skills. - Commitment to student safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding practices. - Professional, energetic, and passionate about youth development through sport. - Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community. - Aligned with the school's vision, values, and commitment to excellence in education and sport.
