Overview

A Senior Structural Designer supports engineers by creating accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for concrete and steel structures generating material take-offs and ensuring designs meet specifications typically requiring 8 years of experience and strong skills in tools like AutoCAD Revit or SmartPlant 3D.

Your role

• Senior Structural Designer
• The person in this position will work closely with Structural Engineers in a multi-discipline environment to manage design responsibilities and to resolve design related issues associated with the project.
• Your role
• Produce 3D models in Revit or Advanced Steel or Smartplant 3D. Generate 2D drawings from 3D model.
• Prepare the 2D drawings using AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Develop the 2D drawings of structure/foundation plans sections elevations as per engineer design sketches. Develop the details as per engineer design.
• Prepare the material take-off from 3D models and/or drawings.
• Review rough sketches drawings specifications and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.
• Other duties as applicable.

About you

• College certification or BS (preferred but not required) in Civil Engineering specialized on structural engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of design and drafting experience in Structural Engineering.
• Experience in 2D and 3D designs for concrete foundation concrete structure steel structure with proficiency in AutoCAD Revit or Smartplant 3D.
• Excellent communication skills in French ability to maintain confidential information critical.
• Ability to work independently and collaboration with other disciplines.
