Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, reflective, and experienced TOK Teacher to join our IB academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating inquiry-driven learning and developing students' ability to think critically, evaluate perspectives, question assumptions, and understand how knowledge is constructed across different disciplines.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of the IB philosophy and approaches to teaching and learning, with the ability to work effectively across both MYP and DP contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging TOK/inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with IB MYP and DP frameworks.
- Facilitate discussions, debates, reflections, and activities that encourage students to question assumptions and evaluate different perspectives.
- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical reasoning, reflection, and communication skills.
- Support DP students in understanding and completing TOK Exhibition and TOK Essay requirements in accordance with IB expectations.
- Integrate TOK concepts and inquiry approaches across subject areas and promote interdisciplinary learning.
- Encourage students to explore real-world situations and examine knowledge questions from multiple perspectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress and development.
- Maintain appropriate academic records and assessment documentation.
- Collaborate with subject teachers and academic leaders to strengthen interdisciplinary and inquiry-based learning.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, department meetings, school events, and academic initiatives.
- Support students in developing the IB Learner Profile attributes and Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills.
- Create an inclusive, respectful, and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.
- Stay updated with IB curriculum developments, assessment practices, and educational approaches.
- Participate in professional development and IB workshops as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Philosophy, Humanities, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience teaching IB MYP and/or DP preferred.
- Recognized IB TOK training/workshop experience will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based, concept-driven, and student-centered learning.
- Experience supporting TOK Exhibition and/or TOK Essay is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in an international/IB school environment preferred.

Experience working within an IB environment and familiarity with the MYP and DP philosophy, Learner Profile, ATL skills, and assessment practices will be highly valued.
