Overview

\n

We are seeking a highly skilled and design-driven senior interior designer/architect to join

\n

our team in Mumbai.

\n

This role requires someone with strong conceptual thinking, refined design sensibility, and

\n

the technical capability to carry a project from concept to completion with minimal

\n

supervision.

\n

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8-10 years of experience working on high-end interior

\n

and architectural projects, can lead design packages confidently and thrives in a collaborative

\n

yet fast-paced environment.

\n

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, coordinates

\n

effectively with consultants and consistently delivers thoughtful, well-resolved work.

\n

\n

Key responsibilities:

\n

\n

1. Concept development and design direction

\n

\n
• lead the creation of strong, contextually grounded concepts for interior and architectural
\n

\n

projects

\n

\n
• develop mood boards, design narratives, space planning options, and early-stage
\n

\n

visualizations

\n

\n
• present design ideas confidently to the founder, internal team and clients
\n

\n

\n

2. Design packages and technical drawings

\n

\n
• produce and oversee comprehensive drawing sets across concept, schematic, and detailed
\n

\n

design stages

\n

\n
• ensure all design details, material specifications, and technical solutions are well-resolved
\n

\n

and aligned with project intent

\n

\n
• review and refine drawings prepared by junior designers and draftsmen
\n

\n

\n

3. Project leadership and coordination

\n

\n
• take charge of assigned projects, ensuring design quality, accuracy and timely delivery
\n
• coordinate directly with consultants (MEP, structural, lighting, landscape), suppliers, and
\n

\n

contractors

\n

\n
• lead or support client meetings, ensuring all design updates are clear, structured and
\n

\n

professionally communicated

\n

\n

4. Material research and specification

\n

\n
• source materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting and design elements aligned with the
\n

\n

project’s vision

\n

\n
• prepare FF&E schedules and specification packages with accuracy and clarity
\n
• manage samples, approvals and coordination with suppliers.
\n

\n

\n

5. Site reviews and quality control

\n

\n
• conduct site visits to verify design implementation and address discrepancies early
\n
• liaise with contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to design intent
\n
• provide marked-up drawings, clarifications, and site instructions when required
\n

\n

\n

6. Team collaboration and mentorship

\n

\n
• work closely with the founder, project manager and technical team to maintain workflow
\n

\n

• guide and mentor junior designers where needed, ensuring consistency and quality
\n
• participate actively in internal design reviews, bringing constructive and thoughtful

7. Presentation and documentation

\n

• prepare compelling presentations, reports, and design documentation for clients and

\n

internal reviews

\n

\n
• ensure all deliverables are organised, complete and aligned with project milestones
\n
• support in competition entries, RFP submissions, and portfolio materials when required.
\n
