Job Summary

Bajaj Group is seeking an experienced, creative, and highly skilled Head Bakery Chef to lead all bakery and pastry operations for a prestigious private residential estate. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in luxury hospitality, with expertise in producing world-class artisan breads, viennoiserie, pastries, desserts, celebration cakes, and customized baked products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.

The candidate must possess exceptional culinary skills, a refined understanding of international bakery trends, and the ability to cater to the personalized preferences of the resident family and their guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete bakery and pastry operations for the residential estate.
• Prepare premium-quality artisan breads, sourdough, croissants, Danish pastries, brioche, baguettes, and specialty baked products.
• Create luxury desserts, plated desserts, petit fours, macarons, chocolates, tarts, entremets, and gourmet pastries.
• Design and execute customized cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, and special occasions.
• Develop seasonal menus and innovative bakery concepts based on international standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, freshness, and product quality.
• Supervise bakery staff, assign daily production schedules, and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory, order premium ingredients, and control food costs with minimal wastage.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of bakery equipment and workstations.
• Stay updated with global bakery trends, modern techniques, and premium ingredients.
• Coordinate with the Executive Chef and household management team for daily requirements, events, and VIP hospitality.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Advanced knowledge of artisan bread production and fermentation techniques.
• Expertise in laminated doughs and viennoiserie.
• Professional cake artistry, sugar craft, chocolate work, and dessert plating.
• Strong knowledge of European, French, Italian, and international bakery products.
• Excellent recipe standardization and production planning.
• High attention to detail and creativity.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a luxury residential environment with complete professionalism and confidentiality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma/Degree in Bakery & Confectionery or Culinary Arts from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 10–15 years of professional bakery experience.
• At least 8–10 years in leadership roles within luxury hotels or fine dining establishments.
• Prior experience with The Oberoi, Taj Hotels, ITC Hotels, Marriott, Hyatt, Leela, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, or other internationally recognized luxury hospitality brands will be highly preferred.
• Experience in luxury residences, royal households, UHNW family offices, embassies, or private estates will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of VIP service standards and personalized hospitality.
