Role Description

Chinmaya Vidyalaya CBSE is inviting applications for the position of School Principal.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Vadavalli, Coimbatore.

We are looking for a Principal who brings together strong educational leadership with a technology-focused and data-led approach to school management.

The Principal will be expected to use technology, academic data, operational insights and measurable outcomes to improve teaching quality, learner performance, staff effectiveness and institutional decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading academic, administrative and co-curricular functions across the school
• Using learner performance data to identify gaps, measure progress and guide academic interventions
• Strengthening technology adoption across teaching, assessment, communication and administration
• Building efficient systems for academic monitoring, reporting and school operations
• Guiding curriculum implementation and maintaining high standards of teaching quality
• Leading, mentoring and evaluating teaching and administrative teams
• Using data and institutional insights to support strategic planning and school improvement
• Overseeing admissions, budgeting, resource allocation and campus operations
• Ensuring compliance with CBSE requirements and applicable educational regulations
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and disciplined learning environment
• Building effective relationships with learners, families, staff and management
• Creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and purposeful innovation

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a School Principal
• Strong educational leadership and school management capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to lead through technology and data-informed decision-making
• Experience using academic performance data, assessments and institutional metrics to drive improvement
• Strong understanding of digital tools, school management systems and technology-enabled administration
• Sound knowledge of curriculum planning, instructional practices and learner assessment
• Proven experience in leading and developing academic and administrative teams
• Experience in budgeting, operations, compliance and resource management
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to build a disciplined, inclusive and high-performing school culture
• Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Formal training in educational leadership or school administration will be an advantage
• Commitment to ethical leadership, continuous learning and the values of Chinmaya
