Instructional Designer

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging, learner-centered digital learning experiences for corporate training programs. The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design expertise with creativity, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to leverage the latest AI tools to design and deliver high-quality learning solutions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging eLearning courses, storyboards, scripts, and course outlines aligned with defined learning objectives.
• Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy, and Gagné's Nine Events to create effective learning experiences.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), clients, and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze content, and translate complex information into engaging learning materials.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, present learning solutions, manage expectations, and incorporate feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate content review meetings and ensure timely resolution of stakeholder feedback and approvals.
• Develop scenario-based learning, branching activities, simulations, assessments, quizzes, and interactive learning experiences.
• Build eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, and other authoring tools.
• Create video scripts and work closely with graphic designers, multimedia developers, voiceover artists, and developers to produce engaging digital learning content.
• Leverage the latest AI-powered tools to accelerate research, content development, multimedia creation, and instructional design workflows while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Ensure all learning content is accessible (WCAG/Section 508 compliant), mobile-responsive, and compatible with LMS platforms.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and revise courses based on stakeholder feedback, learner analytics, and changing business requirements.
• Maintain instructional consistency, branding, tone, and quality standards across all learning projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design, adult learning, AI, microlearning, gamification, and learning technologies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
• Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360.
• Experience using video creation tools such as Synthesia and Vyond.
• Proficiency in using the latest AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar) to support instructional design, content creation, research, multimedia development, and workflow automation.
• Strong instructional writing, storytelling, editing, and content structuring skills.
• Experience designing scenario-based learning and interactive eLearning experiences.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards.
• Good understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Basic visual design skills, including layout, typography, and colour principles.
• Strong quality assurance skills with excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional authoring platforms such as Xyleme, Elucidat, dominKnow, or Adapt.
• Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/Section 508).
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is an advantage.
• Experience creating learning videos, animations, or multimedia assets.
