JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Junior Architect (Fresher)

Location: Bangalore

Reports to: Principal Architect

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Architect to join our team at Ayatana Studios. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to begin their architectural career in a collaborative, design-driven environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic foundation, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and grow. You will work closely with senior architects and team members across various stages of project development, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design Support:

• Assist senior architects in developing design concepts, drawings, and presentations.
• Contribute creative ideas and fresh perspectives to design discussions.
• Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions.

Drafting and Documentation:

• Support the preparation of architectural drawings, 3D models, and visualizations.
• Use design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) for drafting under supervision.
• Assist in compiling presentation boards and documentation packages.

Research and Learning:

• Conduct basic research on materials, precedents, codes, and site conditions.
• Stay updated on architectural trends, tools, and sustainability concepts.
• Actively seek feedback and guidance from mentors and team leads.

Team Collaboration:

• Participate in team meetings and site visits as required.
• Take meeting notes and assist in documenting design progress.
• Coordinate with internal teams for seamless workflow.

Professional Development:

• Take initiative to learn industry software and tools.
• Demonstrate a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
• Be open to constructive feedback and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university (recent graduate).
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong interest in design, detail orientation, and spatial thinking.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to project needs.
• A portfolio (academic projects) showcasing design aptitude and creative thinking.
