Job Title: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Educational Institution Experience Preferred

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to oversee and strengthen the financial, accounting, taxation, compliance, and audit functions of the organization. Candidates having prior experience with educational institutions, trusts, universities, colleges, or schools will be preferred.

The ideal candidate should possess strong financial acumen, statutory compliance knowledge, and the ability to manage institutional accounts with accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee complete accounting and financial operations of the institution/trust.
• Supervise student fee accounting, reconciliation, outstanding dues, scholarships, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, cash-flow statements, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Ensure timely compliance with Income Tax, TDS, GST, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Manage trust/institutional accounting and ensure proper utilization and classification of funds.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Review accounts payable, receivables, payroll, vendor payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, SOPs, documentation, and approval systems.
• Monitor institutional expenses and provide management with cost-control and financial planning recommendations.
• Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with management and provide timely financial analysis and decision-support reports.
• Supervise and guide the Accounts Department and ensure accuracy and timely closure of accounts.
• Work efficiently with Tally, Advanced Excel, ERP, and other accounting/financial systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI membership required.
• Relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, taxation, audit, finance, or compliance.
• Experience in an educational institution, charitable trust, university, college, or school will be strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, GST, statutory compliance, auditing, and financial reporting.
• Sound understanding of trust/institutional accounting and internal financial controls.
• Proficiency in Tally, Advanced Excel, ERP, and MIS reporting.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and professional responsibility.
