Tech & Digital-Principal Platform Architect

Job Purpose

An experienced person in the banking domain, specializing in platform engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Proven expertise in designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise platforms that align with regulatory standards and accelerate digital transformation.

Job Responsibilities

Architect and govern enterprise-grade platform solutions that support high availability, scalability, and security across banking applications and services.

Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to design resilient systems with automated monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities.

Define and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices for platform engineering and reliability across the organization.

Lead modernization initiatives including cloud migration, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).

Drive platform observability and reliability metrics (e.g., SLOs, SLAs, error budgets), ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Review and approve technical architecture documents, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, security policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).

Evaluate emerging technologies and tools relevant to platform stability, scalability, and performance, and provide recommendations for adoption.

Mentor cross-functional teams and foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and architectural thinking across banking platforms

Educational Qualifications

Experience Required : 16+ yrs

Graduation : Master's degree in a relevant technology field

Certifications : Any Cloud Architect Certifications
