Role Overview : The Finance & Accounts Specialist will anchor the financial operations of executive education programmes under Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay. The role requires hands-on ownership of accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, along with close coordination with programme teams, participants, and institute finance function s. Key Responsibiliti es: Financial Manage mentManage end-to-end financial operations across executive education progra mmesMonitor budgets, revenues, and expenditures at a programme l evelTrack fee collections, refunds, and outstanding receiva blesPrepare programme-wise financial summaries and statem entsEnsure compliance with GST, TDS, and applicable statutory n ormsSupport internal and external au ditsMaintain proper documentation for compliance and audit readi ness Accounting & Bookke epingMaintain accurate books of accounts for all programme transac tionsProcess invoices, receipts, and journal en triesEnsure correct allocation of revenues and costsConduct regular bank and ledger reconcilia tions Billing & Financial Rep ortingRaise invoices and coordinate with participants/corporates for colle ctionsTrack outstanding payments and ensure timely foll ow-upsMaintain participant-level financial r ecordsPrepare periodic MIS and financial reports for mana gementProvide insights into programme financial perfo rmanceSupport budgeting and forecasting pro cesses Eligibility C riteriaB.Com / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance with minimum 8 years of relevant experi ence ORMBA (Finance) / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) with minimum 5 years of relevant exp erience Preferred Qualif icationsCA / CMA (fully qu alified)Experience in programme finance, project accounting, within the educatio n sector Ple ase note:T his is a Mumbai-based on-ca mpus role.
