Role Description The Interior Design Faculty will deliver classroom and studio-based instruction in interior design, including fundamentals of space planning, materials and finishes, design software, and project presentation. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and course materials aligned with industry standards, guiding learners through practical design projects, and assessing student performance through assignments, critiques, and examinations. The faculty member will mentor students on portfolios and career readiness, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to academic events, workshops, and exhibitions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Astley Hall, Dehradun, requiring regular collaboration with colleagues and engagement in institutional initiatives to enhance the overall learning experience.

Qualifications

• Strong interior design knowledge, including space planning, materials, lighting, furniture, and design principles.
• Proficiency in relevant design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar visualization and drafting tools).
• Experience with studio-based teaching, project mentoring, and practical, hands-on learning methodologies.
• Effective communication, presentation, and classroom management skills to engage diverse groups of learners.
• Ability to design and update curriculum based on current industry trends, technology, and best practices in interior design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Prior teaching or training experience in interior design or applied arts is required; professional studio or industry experience is an added advantage.
