Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CNC & VMC Machine Setter Cum Operator role based in Chennai. The role involves setting up and operating CNC and VMC machines to produce marine propeller and steering components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include selecting and installing tools, adjusting machine parameters, performing test runs, and ensuring parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements. The operator will monitor machine performance, perform routine maintenance checks, and follow safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor. The role also includes collaborating with supervisors and quality teams to resolve machining issues and support continuous process improvements.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation and Machining for CNC and VMC equipment.
• Candidates should possess skills in Milling and handling relevant machinery used in component manufacturing.
• Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including measurement, inspection, and adherence to tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Experience in setting and operating CNC/VMC machines in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably in metal components.
• Knowledge of shop safety practices and basic preventive maintenance for machines.
• Minimum of a technical diploma/ITI or equivalent in Mechanical, Tool & Die, or related discipline.
• Attention to detail, reliability in meeting production targets, and ability to work collaboratively with the production team.
