Senior Software Engineer (Sigma Computing + Snowflake Developer)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Sigma Computing + Snowflake Developer) to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Sigma Computing, SQL, and Analytics Engineering, with a proven track record of building scalable data solutions, semantic models, and business intelligence applications. You will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data platforms that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize semantic models, datasets, and data solutions using Sigma Computing.
- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake SQL.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics applications in Sigma Computing.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, documentation, and security across data assets.
- Optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and overall Snowflake environment.
- Review code, semantic models, and technical designs to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable analytics solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for data architecture and reporting frameworks.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Sigma Computing.
- Expertise in Snowflake, including advanced features and performance optimization.
- Advanced SQL programming skills.
- Experience in Semantic Modeling and Analytics Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence and Reporting concepts.
- Experience developing scalable data pipelines using Snowflake SQL.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and documentation best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Domain Experience:
- Experience in one or more of the following domains is preferred:
1. Procurement
2. Supply Chain
3. Manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with the following business processes will be an added advantage:
1. Spend Forecasting
2. Spend Analysis
3. Supplier Performance Management
Good to Have:
- Experience with Power BI.
- Exposure to cloud-based data warehousing and modern analytics platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
