Techgrit - AI First Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced AI-First QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright, along with a solid understanding of testing best practices, CI/CD integration, agile development processes, and AI-assisted software testing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress or Playwright.

- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and regression testing.

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).

- Identify, report, and track defects; ensure timely resolution.

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to test coverage and release readiness.

- Analyze test results, provide actionable insights, and ensure continuous improvement of test coverage and efficiency.

- Contribute to performance, security, and compatibility testing initiatives when required.

Tech Stack & Requirements :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing.

- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks using Cypress or Playwright (mandatory).

- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting and test development.

- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or similar AI-assisted development and testing tools.

- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Exposure to test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Xray, etc.).

- Experience working with cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.

- Nice to have : knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, k6) and security testing basics.
