Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with 913 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications, preferably in the banking/financial services domain.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, secure application development, and scalable system design. The candidate will be responsible for driving technical excellence, contributing to architecture and design decisions, mentoring engineers, and delivering secure, reliable, and high-performance digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop scalable and reliable Microservices and REST APIs following industry best practices.

- Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple locations.

- Provide technical and people leadership to Team Leads and Senior Engineers.

- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design and solution decisions.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security, performance, and quality guidelines.

- Implement secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, API security, and data protection.

- Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications.

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and improve application scalability and reliability.

- Collaborate closely with ReactJS/Flutter, QA, DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement permanent solutions.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Contribute to continuous improvement, automation, engineering best practices, and development processes.

- Ensure solutions meet enterprise-level requirements for security, scalability, availability, and maintainability.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in Core Java.

- Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

- Strong experience developing Microservices-based applications.

- Good experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.

- Experience with secure application development, authentication, authorization, and API security.

- Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL.

- Experience with application performance optimization and troubleshooting.

- Good understanding of distributed systems and scalable application architecture.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Banking Domain Experience :

- Experience working on banking, financial services, payments, digital banking, or fintech applications is highly preferred.

- Understanding of banking workflows, financial transactions, security, compliance, and data privacy will be an advantage.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Ability to lead and mentor Senior Engineers and Team Leads.

- Strong experience working with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to take ownership of technical decisions and deliverables.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Ability to guide teams toward engineering best practices and high-quality delivery.

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- 9 to 13 years of relevant software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Preferred Candidate :

- A candidate who combines strong hands-on Java development expertise with technical leadership, system design knowledge, secure application development, and banking domain experience, with good Analytical skills.
