Role Description This is a contract, remote role for a Freelance Video Editor. The Video Editor will handle editing raw footage into cohesive, engaging educational videos, including lectures, interviews, and explainer content tailored to Civil Services aspirants. Daily responsibilities include applying transitions, graphics, subtitles, and basic animations, ensuring clear audio and visual quality, and aligning videos with CHESTA’s brand guidelines and pedagogical goals. The role also involves collaborating with subject matter experts and content creators, managing project timelines, organizing media assets, and delivering videos optimized for various online platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Ability to work with audio enhancement, basic color correction, and visual effects to improve clarity and engagement.
• Aqequate knowledge of Bengali.
• Experience adding titles, subtitles, graphics, and simple motion design for educational or informational content.
• Familiarity with social media and online learning platforms, including formatting videos for different aspect ratios and resolutions.
• Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, and structuring content for learners preparing for competitive exams.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a contract-based environment.
• Comfort collaborating with remote teams and receiving feedback to iterate on video drafts.
• Prior experience in educational content, test prep, or e-learning is beneficial.
• Relevant coursework, certification, or demonstrated portfolio of video editing projects.
