Job description

Inventia is into pharmaceutical development and manufacturing from last 40 yrs. We partner with pharma companies to research, develop, manufacture and distribute OSD. Our Manufacturing plant is in Ambernath which produces range of OSD including capsules, tablets, Granules and Pellets.

We are there in 45 countries and have 10 plus facility approvals including US EU.

Our registered office is in Goregaon and R&D is in Thane.

Recently, Platinum Equity acquired a controlling stake in Inventia Healthcare



Job Title: Assistant Manager

Department: Business Development

Experience: 2-3 yrs

Location: Goregaon

Reports To: AVP - BD

Markets : EU, UK, US, and Canada markets (Or any other International markets preferred)


Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to support the international business team across EU, UK, US, and Canada markets. The role will involve assisting in lead generation, preparation of commercial proposals, customer contract management, market research, and coordination with internal teams to support business growth initiatives. The candidate should have a basic understanding of regulatory filing and approval processes in regulated markets and possess strong relationship management and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development Support

  • Support the identification and generation of new business opportunities through market research and partner scouting.
  • Assist in preparing commercial proposals, business cases, and presentations for prospective customers and partners.
  • Coordinate discussions related to commercial agreements, term sheets, and customer contracts.
  • Follow up with potential customers and partners to maintain engagement and progress opportunities.
  • Maintain and update business development pipelines, opportunity trackers, and CRM databases.

Customer & Partner Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer queries and coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Support relationship management activities with existing customers and business partners.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and communication with external stakeholders.
  • Prepare meeting notes, action trackers, and status updates for management review.

Regulatory & Commercial Coordination

  • Support assessment of regulatory filing requirements and approval status for products in target markets.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Portfolio, and Supply Chain teams to gather information required for business opportunities.
  • Monitor regulatory approvals and communicate relevant updates to the business development team.

Market Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct market research on products, competitors, customers, and potential partners in key international markets.
  • Gather and analyze information on market trends, pricing, and business opportunities.
  • Support portfolio evaluation and business opportunity assessments through market intelligence inputs.

Reporting & Operational Support

  • Assist in maintaining revenue forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and business performance reports.
  • Support tracking of business development projects, key milestones, and contract status.
  • Maintain internal databases, trackers, and documentation related to customers, agreements, and commercial opportunities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure data accuracy in business reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 2-3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Business Development, International Marketing, Licensing Support, or Commercial Operations.
  • Understanding of regulatory filing and approval processes in regulated markets such as EU, UK, US, and Canada.
  • Experience in preparing commercial proposals and coordinating customer contracts.
  • Exposure to lead generation, market research, and customer relationship management activities.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
  • MBA (Marketing/International Business) preferred but not mandatory.
