Role Description We are seeking an Assistant Accounts Manager - Hotels/Resorts for our property in Thanjavur. This is a full-time, on-site position and is strictly for candidates with hotel accounting experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day hotel accounting operations, including revenue accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, month-end closing, and financial reporting. The role involves preparing Daily Revenue Reports (DRR), monitoring room, F&B, banquet, and other revenue streams, reconciling POS and PMS transactions, controlling costs, verifying night audit reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory and company accounting policies. The Assistant Accounts Manager will work closely with the Front Office, Food & Beverage, Purchase, Stores, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, revenue integrity, inventory control, and effective cost management. The role also includes supporting audits, budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and assisting the Finance Manager in achieving departmental objectives. Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the hotel or resort industry is mandatory. - Experience working in star hotels, branded hotels, or hospitality groups is highly preferred. - Strong knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, including Daily Revenue Reports (DRR), night audit, room revenue accounting, F&B accounting, banquet billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting, and cost control. - Experience with hotel PMS and POS systems (such as Opera, IDS, Infor, or similar) along with accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or equivalent ERP systems. - Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end/year-end closing processes. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting. - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet reporting deadlines. - Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with hotel operations and departmental heads. - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CA Inter/CMA will be an added advantage. - Candidates currently working in hotels or resorts will be given preference. -
