The university NMR Facility (UNF) at the Krea University, Sri City, AP invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lab Manager .
\n
The UNF currently houses two NMR spectrometers (600 MHz for solution-state with cryoprobe and 300 MHz (wide-bore) for solid-state NMR) operating at magnetic fields ranging from 7 T (300 MHz) to 14.1 T (600 MHz).
\n
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
\n
\n - Oversee the operation and routine maintenance of NMR spectrometers and accessories at the NMR facility, including cryogen fills and data management.
\n - Manage usage records and prepare annual reports.
\n - Perform solution- and solid-state NMR measurements for internal and external users when needed.
\n - Provide technical support, guidance, and supervision to facility users and project assistants in all aspects of NMR experimentation.
\n - Promote the facility by maintaining the website, conducting workshops with the help of NMR users, and representing the facility at conferences.
\n - Assist users in developing NMR-related research proposals and grant applications.
\n - Take up other responsibilities assigned by the UNF management committee as and when required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
\n
\n - A PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field, focusing on the development and application of solution or solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
\n - Hands-on experience with the usage and maintenance of NMR instrumentation.
\n - Proven experience in conducting advanced NMR experiments in the area of biomolecules, materials, or small molecules.
\n - Experience in solid-state NMR and solution-state biomolecular NMR is desirable (but not required)
\n - Experience in handling NMR spectrometers from multiple vendors (Bruker) is desirable (but not required)
\n - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with researchers across disciplines.
