Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Summary

The Packet Core – Cloud Engineer is responsible for the designing, developing, deploying and validating AI orchestrated Mavenir Packet Core Applications in Public, Hybrid and Private Cloud Environments

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, Test and Deploy Packet Core Applications in Public, Hybrid and Private Cloud
• Leverage AI to develop Packet Core Applications with strict human oversight.
• Play a key role in setting the technical direction for the project
• Technically resolving design and implementation issues, sharing knowledge and driving the project to success.
• Communicate with other groups in the company, such as operations, system-test, PLM and management.
• Support the deployment of Cloud Native Packet Core Applications in production network
• Automate the deployment with CI/CD principles

Job Requirements

• B.S or M.S (Computer Science or a related technical field preferred), should have proven course work in several computer software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages subject areas
• 3+ years minimum experience in public cloud like AWS and/or Google
• 5+ years of experience working with mission-critical applications based on micro-services architecture
• 5+ years of experience working on an Agile Scrum team
• Experienced in developing applications using AI technologies
• Strong experience and understanding of Kubernetes and Docker technologies
• Strong experience and understanding building Web-Scale applications
• Strong understanding of REST architectural and RESTful APIs Web Services
• Experience with CNIs like Calico, Multus, SRIOV, Cilium, OVN
• Experience with Monitoring solutions of AWS and Google
• Experience with Auto Scaling applications in Cloud
• Experience with Hybrid Application Deployment in AWS Outpost or Google Distributed Cloud Edge(GDCE)
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies like Istio Service Mesh
• Experience in Linux systems administration in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
• Practical experience with NoSQL database technologies
• Experience building Reactive Systems
• Working knowledge of SCM tools (e.g. Git, Atlassian) for software development
