In this role, you'll be responsible for the coding and debugging of complex development tasks, operating as a fully contributing team member under broad guidance. You'll apply your judgment to independently determine and execute solutions post-review, and a key aspect of this role involves coaching, guiding, and mentoring junior team members to accelerate their growth. Scope - Knowledge: You'll use your wide-ranging experience, professional concepts, and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively. - Complexity: You'll work on intricate issues where analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You'll exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, and will network with key contacts outside your own area of expertise. - Supervision: You'll independently determine methods and procedures for new assignments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - With ERP expertise, create regression impact analyses for customer-reported bugs. - Create high-level and low-level designs for functional requirements, turning them into marketable features or use cases. - Develop software for database functionality, GUI-based applications, or web-based supporting tools. - Mentor junior team members in technical skills, methodology, and product knowledge. - Possess a strong command of the primary product's technology. - Follow best coding practices and software control systems. - Assist colleagues with design reviews, code reviews, implementation, and information about existing implementations. - Be an expert in one or more modules of the product. - Have a good understanding of core modules of secondary products. - Be assertive in communication with customers and regional teams. Skills and Abilities - Strong working experience in programming using Progress 4GL, Progress Database management, OpenEdge, and advanced Progress features like Application Server/PASOE, Pro-2. - Possess good programming ability in Progress 4GL (GUI/CHUI) /.Net Programming in Progress 4GL. - Good to have: Advanced knowledge of ERP and Operating Systems – Unix/Linux. - Good experience and knowledge of working on n-tier desktop or client-side web applications using one or more Web and UI frameworks. - Working knowledge of non-functional requirements like Scalability, Performance, and Security is an advantage. - Ability to handle customer, requirement management, and release management. - Working experience in Agile methodologies. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree (Required). - Work Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a Master's degree with equivalent experience. The typical range is 1-3 years.
