About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead the organisation's accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial records. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in financial closing, bookkeeping, statutory compliance, audits, and day-to-day finance operations. The position requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Review and maintain the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
• Lead statutory, tax, internal, and GST audits, coordinate with auditors, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and expense accounting.
• Monitor cash and bank transactions and ensure proper accounting controls are maintained.
• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.
• Coordinate with banks, consultants, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Maintain accounting documentation and ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
• Mentor and manage the accounts team, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and adherence to accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); CA or CA Inter preferred. MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage.
• 10–15 years of experience in accounting and finance operations.
• Strong experience in financial closing, bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and audits.
• Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and accounting standards.
• Experience handling statutory, internal, and tax audits independently.
• Proficiency in accounting ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Close attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict reporting deadlines.
