The vision of the College and Career Guidance (CCG) cell at Ekya Schools is to guide and nurture student aspirations and provide them with a platform to achieve their ambitions by embarking on a rewarding future career path.

Role Purpose:

The CCG cell serves as a vital link between students, parents, teachers, and global universities by offering a program focused on key aspects of career counselling and the college planning/placement process. The primary role of the CCG Program Coordinator is to:

• Address and support each student’s individual career needs and goals.
• Build career awareness within the school community through workshops, expert sessions, and university visits.
• Facilitate collaboration between counsellors, students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Counselling:

• Guide students in identifying interests, skills, and college and career goals.
• Provide one-on-one counselling for students on campus.
• Assist students with portfolio development and college applications, including essays and interview skills.
• Research and share resources tailored to individual student needs.
• Analyze students’ psychometric assessments.

Develop a Career-Aware Senior School Community:

• Coordinate and conduct year-round workshops, seminars, expert sessions, and career camps across campuses.
• Equip teachers and parents with tools and frameworks to support student career development.
• Build a comprehensive repository of colleges, courses, exams, and scholarships.
• Mentor staff on writing effective letters of recommendation.
• Maintain and update a dashboard of college-related information for students.
• Liaise with global universities and organize information sessions on campus.
• Plan and lead university field trips and education fair visits.
• Enhance the school’s profile among university circles.
• Consolidate student data and documentation required for college applications.
• Maintain updated alumni records.

Professional Development:

• Design and lead workshops and training modules in college and career guidance for stakeholders.
• Identify and attend relevant upskilling workshops in the field of guidance and counselling.

Team Responsibilities:

• Be a dependable and collaborative team member.
• Manage assigned tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Support the College and Career Guidance Program Coordinator in daily operations as required.
• Provide weekly updates on team and task progress to the Program Coordinator.

Qualifications & Professional Background:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in counselling and guidance preferred.
• Degree from top Indian institutions or global universities.

Core Competencies:

• Experience with counselling principles and techniques to support student development.
• Knowledge of current trends in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
• Deep understanding of both Indian and global education systems, and related developments. in academia and industry.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and lead by example.
• Tech-savvy and eager to adopt new tools and platforms.
• Willingness to travel across all CMR K–12 and Ekya School campuses as needed.
