The product was also the National Winner and International Top 20 of the prestigious James Dyson Award, and has gained traction with major public hospitals and orthopedic clinics.Their digital therapy platform, consisting of KIMIA Assess, uses artificial intelligence technology for digital MSK assessment and therapy. This platform is capable of providing pre-consultation assessments and real-time exercise guidance and feedback to musculoskeletal patients, and is being adopted by some of the largest private healthcare providers in the region, along with large corporate players.

About the Job:

As a Competitive Applications and Grants Researcher & Writer at Kinexcs, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and securing funding opportunities through competitive applications, grants, and awards. You will research relevant calls, craft compelling proposals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to highlight Kinexcs’ unique value proposition. Your work will directly support the company’s innovation and expansion by strengthening its financial foundation and global recognition.

What You Will Do:

Research & Analysis

• Proactively identify and track relevant funding opportunities including government grants, research programs, innovation challenges, and international competitions.
• Analyze eligibility criteria, requirements, and competitive landscapes for each opportunity.
• Maintain a pipeline/database of upcoming opportunities with deadlines and strategic fit.

Proposal Writing & Submission

• Develop high-quality, tailored grant applications, proposals, and award submissions.
• Collaborate with product, clinical, R&D, and business teams to gather technical and business inputs.
• Ensure applications align with organizational strategy, mission, and product innovation roadmap.
• Edit, proofread, and refine submissions to ensure clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance.

Strategy & Collaboration

• Work closely with leadership to prioritize opportunities based on funding potential and strategic alignment.
• Create templates, best practices, and documentation to streamline future submissions.
• Provide insights into trends in funding landscapes (e.g., healthtech, AI, medtech grants).
• Build relationships with funding bodies, grant officers, and program managers to stay updated.

Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of applications submitted, status updates, and outcomes.
• Track key performance indicators such as win rates and funding amounts secured.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership on grant activities and pipeline.

What You Need:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Communications, or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in grant writing, proposal development, or research funding.
• Strong track record of successful applications to competitive grants, awards, or research programs.
• Excellent research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex scientific/technical information into persuasive, accessible language.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience in healthcare, medtech, or digital health sectors.
• Familiarity with global funding programs (EU Horizon, NIH, SBIR, H2020, IMDA, EnterpriseSG, etc.).
• Knowledge of intellectual property, regulatory, or R&D processes.
• Prior experience collaborating with clinicians, researchers, or technical teams on applications.
