Job Description

Role: RPGLE Support Engineer

Experience: 5+ Years

Location: Bangalore / Pune / Chennai

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support and maintenance for IBM i (AS/400) applications developed in RPGLE.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, incidents, and service requests.
• Perform code fixes, enhancements, and deployments in RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2 environments.
• Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and system performance.
• Coordinate with business users and development teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
• Hands-on experience with IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.
• Knowledge of batch job monitoring, job scheduling, and production support processes.
• Experience in incident management and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of SQL queries and database concepts.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Change Management and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of banking, payments, insurance, or retail domains.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
