Operations & Production (if manufacturing/metallurgy focused): - Monitor and optimize metal processing operations (melting, casting, rolling, etc.). - Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. - Coordinate with maintenance and quality control teams for process improvements. - Assist in planning and execution of production schedules. 2. Procurement & Supply Chain (if sourcing/logistics focused): - Source raw materials or semi-finished metals from approved suppliers. - Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and delivery terms. - Monitor market trends in metal pricing and availability. - Ensure timely delivery and inventory control in coordination with the warehouse. 3. Trading & Market Analysis (if in trading/commodities): - Assist in the trading of ferrous/non-ferrous metals. - Analyze market trends, pricing data, and global supply-demand factors. - Prepare reports and recommendations on buying/selling strategies. - Coordinate with clients, brokers, and logistics teams. Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong understanding of metallurgy, material science, or commodity markets. - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), MS Excel, and data analysis tools. - Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.). - Strong negotiation, communication, and team coordination skills. - Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. - (MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain/Operations/Metals Trading is a plus.) - 3–6 years of relevant experience in metals manufacturing, procurement, or trading. - Familiarity with global metal markets, pricing mechanisms, and import/export procedures (if applicable).
