Manager - Residue Analysis / Trace Laboratory

About The Role: Senior laboratory manager to lead and oversee our Residue Analysis and Trace Laboratory - ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in pesticide residue and trace contaminant analysis. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS, method validation, ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, and team management. Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Operations & Technical Leadership: - Lead and oversee pesticide residue and trace contaminant analysis using GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentation - Supervise analysis of pesticides, antibiotics, vitamins, melamine, PFAS/PFOS, dioxins, furans, PAHs, PCBs, and other trace contaminants - Implement and optimize QuEChERS and advanced sample preparation techniques - Drive method development, verification, validation, and measurement uncertainty studies Regulatory & Quality Compliance: - Ensure compliance with SANTE, AOAC, ISO/IEC 17025, FSSAI, and APEDA regulatory guidelines - Handle internal audits, NABL assessments, customer audits, and regulatory inspections - Maintain ISO/IEC 17025:2017 documentation, data integrity, and laboratory quality standards - Review and approve analytical data, chromatograms, validation reports, and test reports - Manage instrument qualification (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ), calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting Team Leadership & Development: - Supervise, train, and develop technical staff on analytical protocols, regulatory compliance, and laboratory best practices - Monitor laboratory quality metrics, turnaround time (TAT) commitments, and operational efficiency - Build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence - Provide technical support to customers and drive laboratory capability expansion Required Qualifications: Education & Experience: - M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline - Minimum 12-20 years in a NABL-accredited Residue Analysis Laboratory - Proven hands-on expertise with GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, and multi-residue analysis - Strong knowledge of QuEChERS and advanced sample preparation methodologies Technical & Regulatory Knowledge: - Sound understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, NABL, SANTE, AOAC, FSSAI, and APEDA guidelines - Expertise in method validation, verification, measurement uncertainty, and method development - Experience in audit handling, laboratory management, and compliance documentation - NABL Authorized Signatory qualification - preferred Leadership & Soft Skills: - Proven team leadership and staff development experience - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Detail-oriented with commitment to regulatory compliance and data integrity Why Join EFRAC: - 65,000 sq. ft. world-class facility - state-of-the-art GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentation - NABL-accredited, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified - rigorous quality standards - Senior technical leadership role - opportunity to build and lead a world-class residue analysis laboratory - Diverse portfolio - work across food, pharma, packaging, and environmental sectors - Career growth - within a technically rigorous, globally connected organization Apply or Share Your Profile: Tag someone who would be perfect for this role!
