Assistant Vice President - IT Application Support

Purpose of the Job :

- Monitoring and smooth functioning of systems and operational of trading environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Presentation to the senior management on the key operational points.

- Tracking, updating to the management on incidents till its closure.

- Monitoring the operations in respective shifts.

- Coordinate cross project activities.

- Providing vital inputs and actively participating in the projects.

- Managing resources internal and external.

- Escalating the issues to right team for resolution on priority.

- Analyzing and coordinating the issues for its resolutions.

- Application Log management - Logging and tracing.

- Hands-on working knowledge of Linux OS for routine system operations.

- Ad-hoc reports generation from database for senior management, regulatory requirement.

- Ensure uptime of systems for mission critical applications.

- Ensure SOD and EOD and backup activities are carried out on time as per SOP. Timely detection and reporting of incidents or issues identified for which necessary action was taken and the issue got resolved.

- Should handle multiple audits and review the audit reports.

- Ensuring Change Management, Incident Management and Patch Management as per SOP.

- Ensure responses to all communication received from internal and external stakeholders.

- Constantly monitor and fine-tune the application to enhance performance, enabling users to leverage its capabilities to the fullest.

- Following standard operating procedure for Disaster recovery and Business Continuity Planning, ISO standards etc.

- Excellent team management skills, Interpersonal skills, conflict management, team building.

Preferred Expertise :

- Working knowledge of Exchange related applications (Stock/Commodity/CTCL solutions) and Financial/Banking related applications.

- Hands on system admin experience with RHEL OS, Microsoft Windows 2016 servers.

- Good knowledge of implementation, configuration, monitoring and administration for Infra etc.

- Show ownership and commitment on the tasks taken up to understand the requirement and deliver in time with internal customers. Good written and verbal communications skills and ability to Communicate /interact clearly with internal customers is a must.

- Team oriented, always ready to take up newer challenges and contribute and enthusiastic to learn new things.

- To be able to perform in 24 x 6 Environment in shift roaster including compulsory night shifts. Should be willing to work independently, passion to meet aggressive timelines in a large production environment.
