Overview

This full-time role at Innobot Health requires a focused, motivated, and detail-oriented professional to serve as a Healthcare RCM Collection Specialist. Under the guidance of the Director of RCM, the specialist will be primarily responsible for obtaining the status of submitted claims by accessing payer portals and calling insurance companies. The goal is to accurately determine the current claim disposition and document updates in AdvancedMD or other client-provided systems.

This position is central to ensuring timely reimbursement and uncovering any issues that could delay or prevent payment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with payers, and is proficient in documenting complex claim status information for downstream resolution or follow-up.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Obtain claim status through payer portals and direct phone calls to insurance companies.

Perform other duties as required to support the revenue cycle and operations teams

● Accurately document claim statuses and next steps into AdvancedMD based on payer responses.

● Identify claims that require escalation, appeal, or additional information.

● Communicate with the internal team about issues such as claim rejections, pending documentation, or denials.

● Maintain a daily log of calls made, claims reviewed, and outcomes achieved.

● Collaborate with the Quality Auditor to support accurate and timely reporting of RCM performance.

● Contribute to the development of automated workflows by identifying patterns in payer behavior and data-entry standards.

● Adhere to payer-specific billing guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and internal documentation standards.

● Meet daily productivity and quality benchmarks defined by leadership.

● Provide feedback to leadership on payer trends, claim reprocessing needs, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience: 1+ year of experience in medical billing, claim follow-up, or RCM preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and familiarity with remote work tools.t.

Knowledge of AdvancedMD or similar billing software is highly desirable.

● Strong understanding of insurance claim lifecycles, including eligibility, submission, denial, and adjudication processes.

● Comfortable speaking with payer representatives and navigating complex IVR systems.

● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documenting outcomes.

● Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and manage time effectively.
