Role Overview :
We are looking for an Assistant Manager Data Science to develop AI and analytics solutions that enhance General Trade Sales performance. The role focuses on building machine learning models, sales forecasting, recommendation engines, target setting, and automation to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and deploy machine learning models for sales analytics and forecasting.
- Develop solutions for SKU recommendations, target setting, sales productivity, and outlet selection.
- Analyze large datasets to generate actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with business, sales, IT, and data engineering teams for model deployment.
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy.
- Create dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.
- Explore Generative AI and automation to improve analytics processes.
Skills Required :
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, Statistics, and Predictive Analytics.
- Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and data science libraries.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with model deployment, monitoring, and large datasets.
- FMCG or Sales Analytics experience is preferred.
Qualifications :
- Engineering graduate (Tier 1/Tier 2 preferred).
- MBA or postgraduate qualification/certification in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field is a plus.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Sales Analytics, or Analytics Consulting.
- Experience building ML models, recommendation engines, forecasting, or decision-support systems preferred.
