Director, Offshore Delivery (REMOTE, India)

The Director, Offshore Delivery for the Avaap Center of Excellence (ACE) provides senior local leadership for our India-based delivery center as it scales. This person works closely with US practice leadership to execute the growth plan, manage the India management layer, and ensure the team operates effectively across time zones. Responsibilities Delivery center operations: Oversee the operational performance of the India delivery center including utilization, margin contribution, and cost management in coordination with US leadership. Hiring and talent strategy: Make hiring recommendations, and partner with Talent Acquisition to manage the local talent pipeline. Management oversight: All India managers (integration and functional) report to the Director. The Director ensures span of control, team structure, and management quality are maintained as the team grows. Retention and culture: Help drive the people programs, compensation strategy, career development, and team culture initiatives for the India team. Client relationships: Serve as a senior India-based point of contact for escalations and participate in client conversations alongside onshore leadership as needed. Strategic planning: Support execution and iteration of the expansion plan based on local market conditions, talent availability, and demand signals. Report into the US-based Leader of Integrations Practice. Required Experience & Qualifications Extensive experience in the Workday ecosystem, with 12–14+ years spanning integrations, technical architecture, and platform capabilities Deep expertise across Workday integration frameworks (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs) with working knowledge of key functional areas including HCM, Financials, and/or Payroll Proven success in building, mentoring, and assessing high-performing Workday teams, across both technical and functional disciplines Demonstrated ability to lead delivery excellence, ensuring quality, consistency, and scalability across complex client engagements Experience shaping delivery strategy and evolving methodologies, incorporating new Workday capabilities and market-leading practices Strong preference for candidates who have built or scaled a Workday-focused delivery center or practice in India Workday Pro certifications and active involvement in the Workday partner community are a plus This role offers the opportunity to work within a growing, high-performing offshore team that is deeply connected to the business—contributing to delivery excellence, supporting client success, and helping shape how we scale globally. Pay Transparency Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range. During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and if the level differs from the position applied for, a revised compensation range will be provided.
