Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Associate Veterinarian role based in Mumbai. The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical care to companion animals, including performing examinations, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and conducting routine procedures and surgeries. Daily responsibilities include communicating clearly with pet parents, documenting medical records, coordinating with technicians and support staff, and ensuring that all clinical practices follow evidence-based standards. The role also involves participating in preventive health programs, advising on nutrition and behavior, and supporting emergency and critical care cases as needed. The Associate Veterinarian will contribute to a collaborative, compassionate clinic culture while upholding BloomVet’s commitment to high-quality, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree (BVSc or equivalent) from an accredited institution and valid registration/license to practice veterinary medicine in India.
• Clinical experience in small animal practice, including preventive care, diagnostics, medical management, and basic to intermediate surgical procedures.
• Strong diagnostic and decision-making abilities, with familiarity in using modern veterinary equipment and interpreting laboratory and imaging results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care plans to pet parents in a clear, empathetic manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to compassionate, ethical animal care and adherence to professional standards, safety protocols, and clinic guidelines.
• Comfort with digital medical records and clinic management systems; openness to learning new tools and technologies.
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, including training, case discussions, and staying current with advances in veterinary medicine.
• Prior experience in an urban small-animal clinic setting and fluency in English and local languages are beneficial.
