Role Overview :

As a GCP Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power high-impact business intelligence and analytics initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders, to transform raw data into actionable insights. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of data infrastructure, ensuring that the organization can leverage its data assets to drive informed decision-making and optimize operational performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services to ensure seamless data flow from diverse sources into the data warehouse.

- Optimize existing data models and storage solutions to improve query performance and reduce latency for end-users and reporting tools.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automated data quality checks and monitoring systems, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of business-critical datasets.

- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT processes that support complex analytical requirements and large-scale data processing tasks.

- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions that address specific operational challenges and growth objectives.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in building data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, specifically utilizing BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.

- Advanced expertise in SQL and Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation of complex data workflows.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, schema design, and performance tuning for large-scale distributed systems.

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively within an agile team environment.

- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field, providing a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.

- Proven capability to adapt to fast-paced project environments and manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
