Supplier Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities Supplier Evaluation and Selection

• Evaluate potential elastomer suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and production capacity
• Collaborate with procurement teams to select vendors that meet the company s requirements and standards

Supplier Auditing

• Conduct regular audits of elastomer suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Identify areas for improvement and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions

Performance Management

• Monitor the performance of elastomer suppliers through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and cost
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track performance over time

Quality Assurance

• Establish quality control processes for incoming elastomer materials
• Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures

Technical Expertise

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of elastomer materials, properties, and processing techniques to provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in elastomer technology

Eligibility Criteria Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• Master s degree preferred
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in supplier engineering or quality engineering roles, with a specific focus on elastomers

Mandatory Skills

• Proficiency in evaluating elastomer materials, understanding their properties, and familiarity with processing techniques
• Experience in supplier evaluation, auditing, and performance management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
• Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product quality and reliability
