Job Summary

The Indirect Tax Analyst is responsible for managing indirect tax compliance GST/VAT filings tax reconciliations audits and ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations. The role supports accurate tax reporting and minimizes compliance risks for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST/VAT and other indirect tax returns within deadlines
  
• Perform tax reconciliations between books and statutory filings
  
• Review invoices for correct tax applicability and compliance
  
• Handle input tax credit (ITC) reconciliations and validations
  
• Support tax audits assessments and notices from tax authorities
  
• Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and ensure implementation
  
• Assist in tax planning and process improvement initiatives
  
• Coordinate with AP AR procurement and finance teams
  
• Maintain proper documentation and compliance records
  
• Prepare reports related to tax liabilities and recoveries
  
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of GST VAT and indirect taxation concepts
  
• Knowledge of tax compliance and return filing procedures
  
• Familiarity with invoice validation and ITC reconciliation
  
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle ERP
  
• Attention to detail and strong documentation abilities
  
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Commerce Finance Accounting or related field
  
• CA / CMA / MBA Finance (preferred)
  
• 67 years of experience in indirect taxation or GST compliance
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling GST audits and departmental notices
  
• Exposure to e-invoicing and e-way bill processes
  
• Knowledge of multi-state or international indirect tax compliance
  
• Experience in shared services or corporate tax environment
