Furniture Designer / Product Designer (Home Furniture) Location Jodhpur (Studio-based | Site & workshop coordination as required) Experience 1–2 years (Fresh graduates with strong portfolios may also apply) About the Role We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture / Product Designer to join our growing furniture brand. The role involves designing contemporary home furniture pieces that balance aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. You will work closely with the design, production, and execution teams to translate concepts into market-ready furniture. Key Responsibilities Design home furniture pieces including sofas, beds, tables, chairs, storage units, and custom furniture Develop concept sketches, mood boards, and design narratives for new collections Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications for manufacturing Work on material selection, finishes, hardware, and detailing suitable for production Coordinate with the manufacturing unit, carpenters, and vendors to ensure feasibility and quality Create and update shop drawings and prototypes where required Stay updated with global furniture trends, materials, and finishes Assist in refining designs based on costing, ergonomics, and structural requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Degree/Diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or related field 1–2 years of hands-on experience in furniture or product design Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp / Rhino, and Photoshop (3ds Max / Fusion 360 is a plus) Strong understanding of materials, joinery, finishes, and hardware Ability to convert concepts into production-ready drawings Good aesthetic sense with attention to detail Basic understanding of costing and manufacturing processes What We’re Looking For A design-first mindset with practical thinking Strong visual and conceptual skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced studio environment Good communication and coordination skills Passion for home furniture and design craftsmanship What We Offer Opportunity to work on original furniture collections Hands-on exposure to design-to-execution process Creative and collaborative work environment
