About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Category Trade Marketing Manager to drive category growth and strengthen trade marketing initiatives across the General Trade (GT) channel. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of sales and trade marketing expertise with prior experience as an Area Sales Manager (ASM) enabling them to develop impactful market activation plans improve category visibility and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category-specific trade marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement GT channel activation plans to drive sales growth and market share.
• Plan execute and evaluate trade promotions consumer offers and retailer engagement programs.
• Work closely with Sales Marketing Supply Chain and Category teams to ensure seamless execution of trade initiatives.
• Analyze category performance sales trends market dynamics and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure optimal return on investment (ROI) for all promotional activities.
• Drive visibility initiatives merchandising standards and in-store execution excellence across the GT channel.
• Develop POSM strategies and ensure effective deployment across markets.
• Monitor promotion effectiveness and recommend corrective actions based on business insights.
• Support new product launches through impactful trade activation and distribution planning.
• Build strong relationships with regional sales teams distributors and key trade partners.
• Track KPIs related to category growth distribution visibility and promotional effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• MBA from a recognized institute (Mandatory).
• Minimum 6 years of overall experience in Sales and/or Trade Marketing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager (ASM) handling the General Trade (GT) channel.
• Strong understanding of trade marketing concepts category management and GT distribution.
• Experience in planning and executing trade promotions and retailer activation programs.
• Excellent analytical commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
