ELV Estimation Engineer

The ELV Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates BOQs and technical-commercial proposals for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The role involves reviewing tender documents coordinating with vendors and engineering teams and supporting bid submissions to ensure competitive and compliant ELV solutions.

Estimation & Costing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for ELV systems including:
  

  • Structured Cabling (Data & Voice)
    

  • CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems
    

  • Access Control & Time Attendance
    

  • Intrusion Detection Systems
    

  • Public Address & Voice Alarm (PA/VA)
    

  • IPTV SMATV MATV
    

  • Intercom Parking Management and BMS interfaces
    

• Analyze tender drawings specifications and BOQs.
  

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and tender documents.
  

• Prepare pricing for materials labor testing commissioning and maintenance.
  

Vendor & Commercial Coordination

• Obtain quotations from suppliers and manufacturers.
  

• Evaluate vendor offers for technical and commercial compliance.
  

• Coordinate with sales design and procurement teams to finalize proposals.
  

• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization proposals.
  

Tender & Proposal Support

• Prepare ELV BOQs cost breakdowns and commercial summaries.
  

• Support preparation of technical submittals and compliance matrices.
  

• Assist in pre-bid meetings tender clarifications and post-tender negotiations.
  

Risk & Cost Control

• Identify cost risks exclusions assumptions and clarifications.
  

• Ensure estimates align with project scope specifications and contract conditions.
  

• Maintain historical cost data and estimation templates.
  

Requirements

Education

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering.
  

Experience

• 38 years of experience in ELV estimation or related roles.
  

• Experience in commercial residential hospitality or infrastructure projects.
  

• Background with ELV contractors or system integrators is preferred.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of ELV systems and market pricing.
  

• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.
  

• Ability to interpret drawings specifications and tender documents.
  

• Familiarity with major ELV brands and suppliers.

Required Skills:

Diploma/Degree in Electronics Electrical or relevant AV/ELV background. 36 years of experience in AV commissioning or integration. Hands-on experience with Logitech Cisco Poly Barco Crestron Kramer or Extron systems. Knowledge of network and IP-based AV deployments. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Industry certifications (e.g. CTS Crestron/Extron certifications) are a plus.
