Master Data Management Specialist - Data Governance

About the Role:

We're hiring an experienced Master Data Management professional to take ownership of data quality and consistency across customer, product, entitlement, subscription, contract, billing, and revenue domains. You'll be the go-to person for keeping our master data clean, connected, and trustworthy enabling everything from Customer 360 initiatives to quote-to-cash automation across CRM, CPQ, billing, and ERP systems.

What You'll Do:

- Oversee and continuously improve master data spanning customers, products, entitlements, account hierarchies, catalogs, subscriptions, contracts, billing, and revenue.

- Build and maintain MDM platform capabilities data modeling, match/merge logic, survivorship rules, hierarchies, validations, workflows, and data quality checks.

- Enable data flow between the MDM platform and systems like Salesforce CRM/CPQ/Revenue Cloud, billing, ERP, and reporting/data lake environments.

- Drive golden record creation, account hierarchy cleanup, deduplication, and Customer 360 readiness.

- Maintain accurate product taxonomy and catalog structures to support CPQ bundles, pricing/eligibility logic, and quote-to-cash flows.

- Keep entitlement and subscription records current mappings, lifecycle stages, renewals, amendments, upsells, and install base tracking.

- Investigate and resolve data issues through profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.

- Maintain clear documentation data definitions, business rules, mapping specs, lineage, and stewardship procedures.

- Act as a key liaison across Sales Ops, Revenue Ops, Finance, Product Ops, Customer Success, IT, and Data Governance teams.

What You Bring:

- 7+ years working in master data management, data governance, data quality, or a related operations/data role.

- Direct, hands-on experience with an enterprise MDM platform (Informatica MDM/IDMC, Reltio, or similar).

- Background in SaaS, subscription-based, or enterprise software businesses.

- Practical knowledge of CRM, CPQ, quote-to-cash, order-to-cash, billing, and revenue management workflows.

- Comfort working with customer master, product master, catalog, hierarchy, entitlement, or revenue datasets.

- Solid grasp of core MDM concepts golden records, match/merge, survivorship, reference data, and stewardship processes.

- Sharp analytical instincts for tracing data issues back through business processes and systems.

- Hands-on experience with data profiling, standardization, deduplication, and remediation.

- Strong communication skills able to document clearly and manage stakeholders across functions.

Nice to Have:

- Familiarity with the Salesforce data model CRM, CPQ, or Revenue Cloud.

- Experience connecting MDM systems to Salesforce, CPQ, billing, ERP, or data warehouse/lakehouse platforms.

- Exposure to Informatica's Customer 360/Product 360/Reference 360 suite, or Reltio's Connected Data Platform.

- Working knowledge of APIs, event-driven and batch integrations, data lineage, and metadata tooling.

- Understanding of CPQ structures bundles, pricing, discounts, contracts, and renewals.

- Awareness of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606, IFRS 15) and SOX-related controls.

- Comfort with SQL, Excel, BI tools, or cloud-based data platforms.

- Prior involvement in quote-to-cash transformation, M&A data integration, or broader data modernization efforts.
