Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Assistant HOD to lead mechanical maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in coke oven operations and strong expertise in machine and conveyor maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, rotating equipment, and production machinery.
  
• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of coke oven-related equipment.
  
• Plan maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and improve plant efficiency.
  
• Lead and guide the maintenance team while ensuring safety and quality standards.
  
• Coordinate with production and other departments for effective maintenance planning.
  

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  
• Minimum 9 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
  
• Hands-on experience in coke oven plants is mandatory.
  
• Strong expertise in machine maintenance and conveyor maintenance.
  
• Good troubleshooting, leadership, and team management skills.
  
• Willing to work in Kharagpur.
