Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is seeking a strategic and results-driven General Manager / Assistant General Manager – Digital Sales to lead and scale the organization's digital sales function. The role is responsible for driving online revenue growth, developing digital acquisition strategies, optimizing sales performance across digital channels, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's digital sales strategy to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Lead digital sales initiatives across the company website, mobile applications, partner portals, and other online channels.
• Identify new digital business opportunities and implement strategies to maximize online conversions.
• Monitor and optimize the end-to-end digital sales funnel to improve customer experience and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, technology, operations, and analytics teams to execute digital growth initiatives.
• Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
• Drive partnerships with digital aggregators, fintech platforms, and strategic business partners.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, sales targets, and operational metrics for the digital sales team.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales and business development teams.
• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of digital sales, online customer acquisition, and e-commerce business models.
• Experience in digital sales strategy, revenue management, and business development.
• Knowledge of CRM platforms, digital analytics tools, and sales performance reporting.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team-building capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management and digital engagement strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Insurance, BFSI, FinTech, or digital financial services sector.
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, social media, affiliate marketing, and performance marketing.
• Knowledge of customer journey optimization, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and marketing automation platforms.
• Experience managing digital partnerships, online distribution channels, and enterprise sales initiatives.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management will be an added advantage.
