Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Donor Relation Officer role based in Tiruvallur. The Donor Relation Officer will manage relationships with existing and prospective donors, ensuring timely communication, updates, and acknowledgments. Daily responsibilities include maintaining donor databases, preparing reports and presentations, drafting proposals, and coordinating donor visits and events. The role involves collaborating with program and finance teams to gather impact data, develop compelling donor communication materials, and support fundraising campaigns. The Donor Relation Officer will also help identify new donor opportunities, support stewardship activities, and ensure that donor engagement reflects Sevalaya's values and mission.
Qualifications

• Strong donor relations skills, including Donor Relations and Communication, with the ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships.
• Knowledge of philanthropy and giving mechanisms, such as Philanthropy, Planned Giving, and Annual Giving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Tamil or other regional languages is an advantage.
• Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or stakeholder management preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Tiruvallur, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, including use of donor management or CRM systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Communications, Management, or a related field is beneficial.
