Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Summary:

As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to ensure seamless data management. The role includes installing database management systems and developing efficient procedures to support daily maintenance activities. Problem resolution is a key part of the day, requiring proactive identification and troubleshooting of issues to maintain optimal database performance and reliability. Collaboration with other teams to support data needs and system enhancements is also an integral aspect of the daily routine.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate backup and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related requirements and projects.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Aveva OSIsoft PI.
• Experience with database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of database backup, recovery, and security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues effectively.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database management tasks.
  
  

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Aveva OSIsoft PI.
• This position is based at our MDC5C - SEZ office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
