MQ Administrator

Role Overview :

As an MQ Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability messaging environments that serve as the backbone for critical business applications.

You will work closely with development teams, infrastructure architects, and production support units to ensure seamless data flow across complex distributed systems.

Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of enterprise-wide integration platforms, ensuring that business-critical transactions are processed securely and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and optimize IBM MQ Series environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance for mission-critical applications.

- Design and implement IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) solutions to streamline integration workflows and improve data exchange efficiency.

- Oversee the administration of IBM DB2 databases to ensure data integrity and optimal performance for integrated messaging systems.

- Deploy and manage Kafka clusters to support real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture requirements.

- Configure and maintain AIX-based server environments to ensure stable infrastructure hosting for middleware components.

- Implement containerization strategies using Docker to facilitate consistent deployment cycles and environment parity.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex integration issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring outages.

- Manage IBM API Connect configurations to secure and expose enterprise services to internal and external consumers.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in administering IBM MQ Series and IBM App Connect Enterprise within large-scale enterprise environments.

- Proven ability to manage IBM DB2 databases and integrate them with messaging middleware to support complex data pipelines.

- Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven messaging and data streaming architectures.

- Strong proficiency in AIX system administration and containerization using Docker for modern infrastructure management.

- Ability to configure and secure APIs using IBM API Connect to support digital transformation initiatives.

- Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed messaging systems.

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or on-site model across Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Chennai locations.

- A minimum of 6 to 11 years of professional experience in middleware administration and infrastructure support.
