EY GDS - Delivery Excellence Senior position

Job Title: Senior Consultant Java Full Stack AI

Experience: 4 years

Domain Preference: BFSI (Banking / Capital Markets / FSO)

Role Overview

As aSenior Consultant you will serve as a hands-on technology professional responsible for designing building and delivering scalable cloud-native applications. This role is focused on deep technical execution solution delivery and collaboration across teams.

You will leverageJava full stack expertise modern distributed systems and AI-assisted development tools to deliver innovative solutions particularly within Financial Services engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain end-to-end Java full stack applications
• Build and implement microservices-based architectures and REST APIs
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools ( / GitHub Copilot / Replit or equivalent) to improve productivity and code quality
• Develop event-driven systems using Kafka
• Design and optimize database solutions (RDBMS and NoSQL)
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Ensure code quality through reviews testing and performance tuning
• Collaborate effectively with architects leads and cross-functional teams
• Contribute to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members

Primary Skills (Must-Have)

• Strong hands-on experience in Java Full Stack development
• Spring Boot Microservices REST APIs
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools
• GitHub Copilot Replit or equivalent
• Strong expertise in databases
• SQL (PostgreSQL MySQL etc.) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB Cassandra)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP):
• Containerization (Docker)
• Orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Cloud-native services
• CI/CD Other DevOps tools and practices
• Solid understanding of distributed systems system design and API architecture

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with frontend frameworks: Angular / React
• Understanding of DevOps tools and practices
• Docker Kubernetes Jenkins Terraform CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with modern collaborative coding tools (e.g. Replit)
• Exposure to agile development methodologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills

Secondary / Domain Skills (Preferred)

• Experience in Financial Services (FSO) domain including:
• Banking
• Capital Markets
• Understanding of financial systems transaction processing or regulatory environments
