Hiring: Subject Matter Expert – Lead Audiologist & Speech Language Pathologist (Contractual)

Project: TN RIGHTS Project (World Bank Supported)

\n

Department: Commissionerate for Welfare of Differently Abled, Govt. of Tamil Nadu

\n

Location: Tamil Nadu (multi-district travel)

\n

Duration: Minimum 2 Years (extendable based on performance)

\n

Salary: Up to ₹1,25,000/month + TA/DA as per norms

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Develop audiology & speech-language pathology training modules, manuals, videos, case studies, and digital tools.
\n
• Conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA) and design evidence-based communication rehabilitation modules.
\n
• Field test modules, ensure quality standards, and validate content with experts.
\n
• Identify, train, and mentor master trainers (ToT) across Tamil Nadu.
\n
• Conduct trainings for therapists, home care providers, and families.
\n
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, monitoring, and quality assurance support.
\n
• Document best practices, reports, and knowledge transfer packages.
\n

Essential Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Master’s Degree in Audiology / Speech-Language Pathology (UGC recognized).
\n
• Valid RCI registration.
\n
• Minimum 8 years clinical experience in hearing & communication disorders.
\n
• Experience in training, curriculum/module development, and capacity building.
\n
• Knowledge of hearing aids, AAC, speech therapy, and disability rehabilitation.
\n

\n

Preferred:

\n

\n
• PhD / 12+ years experience.
\n
• Government or development sector project experience.
\n
• Publications, international certifications, Tamil language knowledge preferred.
\n
